Argentina’s superstar, Lionel Messi has acquired a Four-Star hotel in a beach town about 40km from Barcelona.
The hotel, which boasts a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea and stunning views, is situated close to the beach and seafront promenade of Sitges, 40km from Barcelona.
Recently renamed MiM and built in 2013, the hotel has 70 luxurious rooms. It was reported that lodging prices at the hotel range from 250 euros to 300 euros per night.
Messi, under careful financial guidance recently established a new company for investment in hotels and apartments under the name of Rosotel.
According to reports, Lionel Messi is the president of the new company whole his brother Rodrigo is the Chief Executive Officer.
Messi’s latest move follows that of football rival, Cristiano Ronaldo who has been buying up hotels since 2015. The Real Madrid star owns four hotels in a combined £54million investment vehicle.
Ronaldo’s hotels are located in three cities linked to his career: Funchal, Lisbon and Madrid. The only one off course is located in New York.
It won’t be surprising if it is announced that the Argentine has made another acquisition in this line before the close of the year.
Messi and Ronaldo are undeniably the best two footballers in the world. They are not only good on the pitch; they have added the skill of sustaining and growing the stupendous wealth they have managed to accumulate over the years.
