It is less than three weeks when the English Premier League ended with Chelsea crowned as champions. To the die-hard fans of English elite club football competition, that is a long time and they cannot wait for August to arrive soon enough for the excitement to start all over again.

As a step to kick-start preparation for next season and to further wet the appetites of millions of fans all over the world, the Football Association, Premier League’s governing body just released the fixture for the 2017/2018 season.

There are three new entrants into the prestigious league. Old ‘member’ Newcastle United returns on a first attempt after falling from grace. Significantly, the release of the fixtures gives the clubs ample time to start planning to experience a productive season.

Pundits and analysts have started reviewing the fixtures list to identify those clubs that with easy starts and those with difficult ones.

Everton has already been identified as the club with the most unfavourable first five fixtures having to play four of the teams that finished in the top six last season.

Arsenal host Stoke City in their opener at the Emirates while Manchester United welcomes the Hammers at Old Trafford.

Brighton and Hove Albion will face baptism of fire against Manchester City as champions Chelsea hosts last season surprise package, Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
